Yesterday was my first full day home alone with three kids. For the past month, we've had help from both sets of our parents or Justin's been home on his paternity leave. Sadly, our new reality doesn't resemble the last month, where we've had our laundry done, meals cooked, and house cleaned. Now it's back to take out and looking at the kids' clothes and thinking, "Eh...it's not
that dirty." Claire was a half hour late to school and Hayden drank out of the dogs' water dish, but everyone is still alive, and right now, that's my gauge of how good of a day it was.
Because I can't post without adding a few pictures, here are a few from an attempt to take photos of all three kids. The level of cooperation was low, but I got a few cute ones of them separately with Reid. The last one cracks me up because poor Reid's expression looks like he's reacting to being bitten by Hayden. Honest, Hayden has nothing but undying devotion for Reid. I worry much more about him squeezing Reid too tightly than about him biting.

What good pics!! Still the pro picture taker! Always impressive La! Glad you made it through your first day...only 18 more years to go!
They are beautiful, Lauren. Take things one day at a time. Forget the laundry and just order takeout. Things will get easier and easier as little R grows.
that pic of claire with reid is SO sweet! you have quite the lil helper!
