Casa de Sumner

We bought a house!

If the number of minivans and tricycles are any indication, the neighborhood is overrun with children. Claire's elementary school is about a half mile away and there is a potential preschool for Hayden literally around the corner.

Justin went to the inspection last week, and I asked him to take some pictures inside to help jog my memory on what everything looked like. My dear husband took 41 pictures, but not a single one of the kitchen or master bedroom! I do, however, have this lovely photograph of the toilet in the kids' bathroom.

Place your bets now on how long it takes Tucker and Riley to destroy this lovely landscaping.

And best of all, we finally have a guest room again so no more air mattresses in the basement! Plan your vists!

Jacket Weather!

The mornings here are now perfect jacket weather. I'm not sure why I'm excited about it because it sure doesn't make getting the kids out of the house any easier. Here are some pics from a morning trek to the park.

They wanted to wear winter hats, but I convinced them to switch to baseball hats.

I talked her into doing wind sprints. She napped so well that afternoon!!

Reid mostly hung out in his stroller and looked cute.

And lounged on his blanket.

I'm a slacker

I don't know why I haven't updated in nearly two weeks...all I do is sit around and eat Bon Bons these days. :) Things are crazy here. We're house hunting, potty training, and when time allows, sleeping and eating, too. I have hardly picked up my camera over the last few weeks (bad Mommy!), but here are a few shots from Labor Day weekend, when our friends Lara Beth and Amanda (Ella Bea and Panda to the kids) came to visit.

Claire *LOVES* this matching raingear. Thanks, Uncle Adam.

We got a babysitter for the older two kids and went into the city last Saturday. We didn't have to chase any kids for EIGHT WHOLE HOURS. It was amazing.

Lara Beth and Amanda mock Henry David Thoreau.

Hayden's "I've done something wrong and good luck figuring out what it is" expression.

Mommy and the boys. Claire can rarely be bothered these days to stand still long enough to photograph her.

And a Reid trio, since he seems to miss out on a lot of the action.
