Every year, she gets a gift from a stockpile of 18 gifts that we bought for her while we were in Kaz. Some years will be better than others and we're trying to unload the boring gifts before she gets old enough to say things like, "This is stupid!" This year...slippers (woohoo!). They were actually a much bigger hit than expected, mainly because she discovered that she can run really fast in them and then slide on the hardwood floors at speeds fast enough to make Mommy freak out.
We also made cupcakes, which she's completely incapable of eating without getting frosting all over her face (where's the fun in cleanliness?!)
Apparently, frosting tastes as good on your face as it does on the cupcake

Yay for family day and yay for Claire! Okay, I totally thought the picture of the slippers was from 4 years ago. Send Claire to my house, I'll fatten her up!
